Nice Destination

The island of Majorca has a something for everybody. From seasoned party goers to families on their first vacation! Majorca has long been synonymous with the term “sun, sand and sea” and it never fails to deliver. There are several types of hotels in Majorca, some which provide basic accommodation and are ideal for those looking for minimal amenities and those who do not intend on spending much time in their rooms. 5 star Majorca Hotels are also available and come lavishly equipped with a plethora of facilities. The two main tourist resorts for Majorca are Palma, which is the island’s capital and the resort of Magaluf in the south.
Let’s start off with family attractions in Majorca. There are lot of family related attractions in Majorca. These include the fun filled Aqualand Water Park in El Arenal and the Golf Fantasia Course in Palma Nova. Another such attraction is the Majorca Auto Safari in Sa Como, which is in essence, a 4km drive through open countryside and the chance to see monkeys, giraffes, zebras and the likes. The Majorca Auto Safari also has a baby zoo which is a hit with both children and adults alike!
Moving on to shopping Majorca is a shopaholic’s Mecca, providing them with everything from high luxury items to low priced traditional goods. Travelers will find that most shops are open from 10am to 1:30pm and then again from 5pm to 8pm. This is from Monday to Friday and on Saturday mornings. However, tourists will also find that a majority of the souvenir shops are open every day. Shops such as El Corte Ingles department store chain, Pryca and the Gigante chain of supermarkets, on the other hand are open throughout the day from Monday to Saturday.
All across the island of Majorca, flea markets are found. There are different types of markets from fresh produce stalls to those selling authentic handicrafts, which make for a perfect and unique present for those back at home. These markets are the ideal place to test out your haggling skills!
